Empowering Equality

Non-Discrimination and Inclusion Policy

Making Prom Happen is committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment for all participants, volunteers, staff, and partners. We do not and will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

We actively support LGBTQ2+ youth and partner with programs such as the Sunflower Program to provide accessible and empowering experiences for neurodivergent youth. All of our volunteers are trained in accessible customer service, ensuring they are prepared to provide affirming, respectful, and inclusive support for all participants, including LGBTQ2+ and neurodivergent youth. We adhere to all AODA guidelines and Canadian accessibility requirements to ensure our programs, registration processes, and event activities are fully accessible.

Any concerns regarding discrimination are handled promptly and confidentially, with appropriate follow-up to maintain a safe and respectful environment.

This policy reflects our ongoing commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, guiding our efforts to create meaningful, safe, and celebratory experiences for all youth.
