At Making Prom Happen, we believe in inclusivity and equal access for all. Accessibility is not just a buzzword for us; it’s a fundamental principle that guides everything we do. We understand that diverse individuals navigate differently, and it’s our responsibility to ensure that everyone can engage with our web content and prom wear events with ease.
We’re not doing this because it is a legal requirement. We are passionate about inclusivity and accessibility. By embracing accessibility, we strive to foster a more inclusive world where everyone has the opportunity to participate fully and equally. Join us on this journey as we work towards a future where accessibility is not just an afterthought but a foundational element of digital innovation and progress.
Accessibility features at our 2025 event include:
- Accessible fitting rooms
- Accessible parking spaces
- Accessible washroom
- Service animal friendly
- Level access (there are no stairs)
- Online tour of the event space (coming soon)
- Seating available
- Safe/quiet space

We strive to be a neurodiverse friendly space by adopting neurodiversity-affirming practices that create inclusive environments where everyone, regardless of their neurotype, feels valued and included.
We will not be playing loud music and there will not be flashing lights of any kind at our event.
There will be balloons at the entrance.
Crowds… we can’t guarantee that there won’t be any crowds at our event this year. We will be limiting the number of people in the event to ensure it doesn’t get overcrowded. If you let us know at the registration desk we can arrange for you to have a personal shopper who will bring clothing to a quiet space for you.
Volunteers will be wearing lime green t-shirts so we are easy to find.
Everyone is aware of, and understand the meaning of, the sunflower lanyards.

In fact, one of our staff will be wearing their lanyard on the day of the event. See you there!
